This quilt is given in memory of Jenene Nun, who was a member of St. John's Lutheran, Ohiowa, NE. And also in memory of her mother, Dorlaine Stanley who appliqued Overall Sam quilt blocks and gave them Jenene. After Jenene's death, her husband Gorlyn gave the blocks to St. John's WELCA sewing ladies. The decision was to make a quilt with the blocks and donate it to the Carol Joy Holling Quilt Auction. Gorlyn also gave a memorial gift to the Women's Group and so someof that money was used for fabric and machine quilting. The quilt blocks were a very generous gift handed down to a daughter, then to her church and the WELCA which Jenene was proud to serve. And then on to the worth while Carol Joy Holling Quilt Auction. How wonderful to be involved in this care giving project which benefits our youth of today.
